Spring Edition | Last Updated for: Monday 30th November, 2009

Monday 30th November: Of the four Premium selections that qualified under KWTC3 there were two wins and four placed. Yesterday We thought Powerplay would go well and we got three legs of the Grafton and Canberra Quaddies. In Canberra we missed the last leg. At Grafton we missed the first which is a way better result with a $949 Treble. The last leg was a $33 winner.

Our Daily Feature Race was the Canberra Cup and I recommended a Trifecta and Flexi First Four. The Trifecta paid $316.50 on Unitab. We win so many of our Daily Feature races I am amazed the service is so poorly patronised.

Our printer has got behind with envelopes and so the last 2500 Newsletters are yet to go out. Don't worry, there are lots of special offers left.

Sunday 29th November: The EagleFarm horse that failed to qualify ran unplaced the other three placed and there was one winner. Today is Canberra Cup day and that is our Feature race. We hope to get the First Four.

A strange ride by Harvey in the Winterbottom yesterday with Waratahs Secret apparently shying or stumbling mid way. After that Harvey took off and the run looked bad although they did run a track record and it did finish only about three lengths back.

I had a weird one Friday with Powerplay having hardly any selections in the Wagga quaddie. I added a couple more from the top three or four ratings and scored. I was disappointed to find that the Quaddie paid $2300 NSW but only $1,000 Unitab. Today I checked my account and found that there was a glitch in the Unitab dividend and it has now paid $1900+.

Powerplay is in action at Canberra and Grafton today. Todays Premium is S4. Tomorrow is the last day we nominate these. After one month everyone should be comfortable with the rules.

Saturday 28th November: Busy day of racing today, with all Premium Selections qualifying under David's Rules except for Eagle Farm. The latest Winform Newsletter is now available online to Members, simply login.

Friday 27th November:
I'm using a newer version of our Internet program and it is harder to do highlights etc. I guess I'll solve it one day. We had one $5 winner for the Winform Singles yesterday and they ar barely keeping ahead of the rising tide. The average dividend is higher but that is offset by longer losing runs.

Premium, on the other hand, rarely has a losing run although there is no joy this week as there have been hardly any selections and they haven't won. What is it ? A losing run of two or three? I think the longest in the past few months is only about seven? The offset to that wonderful performance is that the prices are a very low average. The advantage though is that Subscribers are unlikely to have their accounts closed because they backed a winning favourite or second favourite, which most of these are. Also you can usually bet as much as you like without affecting the dividends. What happened to our selection in Narrogin yesterday? I still haven't heard it in the call.

Prue and Greg will feel like a drink with the temperature at the Wyong barrier trials today being in the high thirties. Blue Tongue beer will be flowing and the free BBQ will be sizzling while Karen and I willl just struggle along here in the air conditioning. We have about 2,500 Newsletters still to be mailed but we're working on it.

We now have only about 20 people left to contact on our Performance Based Contract so we should be able to clear that queue right up by early next week. I am in Sydney next week chairing the Racing and Sports Betting Forum at the Marriott in Sydney but I will be back on deck by Thursday.

Today's Premium Selection does not qualify under David's Rules.

Thursday 26th November: A good Treble for Powerplay yesterday. It cost practically nothing but paid $134. No Quaddie. Tomorrow at 11 a.m. Wyong Race Club hosts public Barrier Trials and there will be free drinks and a free BBQ after. Admittance is also free. We think it is such a great promotion that we will be in attendance. If any Members would like to meet Greg Horn or Prue Hawkins they would be happy to meet you. They will probabaly be doing a few interviews with Trainers and the like but after that they are free to chat. Prue will be the one with the camera and is the designated driver but Greg will be happy to have a beer with you.

Today the Premium under David's Rules at Narrogin Qualfiies under S5.

Wednesday 25th November: ***PLEASE NOTE THAT WARICK FARM HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO A GOOD TRACK Yesterday Powerplay Subscibers scored the $8,500 Sale Quaddie, the interesting thing is that the first three legs were not a surprise to anybody and the last leg was only around $20. We were talking to Damian yesterday about how you never know when another good Quaddie is going to pop up and also how important it is that you have an adequate bank to keep going when it does arrive.

The Magazine has finally arrived and it looks fantastic. Subscribers should start to receive their copy by late this week or early sometime next week. More importantly Horse Racing Australia Magazine is growing world wide, with distributions going as far as: New Zealand, The Netherlands and even United Arab Emirates.  If you haven’t already subscribed to Horse Racing Australia Magazine, simply click here or Phone: (02) 4950 1747 as our 12 month Subscriptions start from just $39 and would make a fantastic Christmas Gift.

Today there are 2 Premiums one qualifies under David's rules. Bunbury Rule S4.

Tuesday 24th November: The Summer Edition of the Magazine and the Newsletter will arrive today and be posted out by the end of the week. The Newsletter will be available on line by 4pm today. The Magazine subscription is only $39.00 for 12 months. If you are looking for Christmas Gift ideas for family or friends why not place your order today.

We currently have over 40 Performance Based Contracts sent out to Clients. If you are interested in further information contact Garry Robinson or Greg Horn on: (02) 4950 1747

Get in Early for this Weekends Trial Ratings. $15 for the Top 5 and $22 for the full Trial Ratings. Click here.

Monday 23rd November: Yesterday we had two Premiums for two wins. Powerplay Subscribers walked away with the Cranbourne Treble and Quaddie. Garry and Greg are looking closely for a potential runner for the PBC partnership. Also the Summer Edition of Horse Racing Magazine should arrive back from the printers sometime this week, so we will have it mailed out to Subscribers very soon.

Sunday 22nd November: Another successful week for our partner Members in the performance based contracts. Only three bets for the past week for one winner at $4.60.For our first month we are well above target.

The C Plan looked to have a very good day. The NSW country meeting at Wellington gave us our best top two result with a top rated $20+ winner. I am very disadvantaged with all my Internet access and phone lines blown at my home office resulting in a 100k round trip to put up todays ratings.

Let's hope the results justify the effort today. Todays Premiums S3 and S5 this service cuts out at the end of November, you should have it figured out by then.

Saturday 21st November: Today's Premiums Selection at Pioneer Park Rules BC & L apply.

Friday 20th November: The Melbourne Cup has faded into history and Saturday's Eclipse is the very last Group race of the Melbourne Spring Carnival but we have the Group One Railway Stakes in Perth and a whole series of Group races to come. I have been reading Bart Cummings' autobiography and it is a fascinating insight into how he thinks.

Having been aware of all his big winners over the years it is interesting to re live some fabulous wins. Sadly I see that Bart has already been reduced to $29.99 at K Mart. It makes a good buy though.

Today Greg has come up with a $34 shot as our PBC. It wll be an each way bet. There were two Premiums yesterday. The one that passed the rules was a solid winner. The other one lost, yet its form was good. As David Bendeich says: "I don't know why they lose, they just do."

Our wating list of Members to call about the Performance Based Contract has reduced to less than 50 so we are getting to you. Greg and Karen are well and truly settling in but Prue is off for a week's break which keeps us all behind and next week we lose three days distributing the Magazine and the Newsletter. I also have two Members coming for training sessions on Tuesday.

It is a big punting day today stretching into the night. We look as though we will have at least two Premiums. If they qualify I might use our PBC as the thrid leag of a patent.

Thursday 19th November: It was a very quiet betting day yesterday. We were a bit unlucky with the Performance Based Selection. Unfortunately, the horse got a bit far back but was flying home... all too late.

This Saturday is Ecllipse Day at Sandown and will be the last day of the Spring Package for 2009.

There are two Premiums Selections today 1 qualifies under the KTWC3 rules. Seymour Race 3, Rule C.

Please Note: At this stage we don't have a clue how to load our programs onto Windows 7. Once we do find out we will let you know. We will wait a few months until the bugs are sorted out of Windows 7 and there are sure top be some. Microsoft assure us that it will run all programs that were compatible with Windows 2000 on.

Wednesday 18th November: Welcome to Karen's first Punter's Diary Update. As Garry mentioned Monday, I will be working along side Prue with Administration. Prue is now on a well earned break after spending the past few weeks training me on the Business Procedures here at Winform.

Today's Racing focus is on the Ballarat and Gosford Cups. We are racing on Good Tracks and the fields are interesting. There are No Premium Selections today.

Garry is spending the day in a One on One training session with one of our Valued Clients.

Tuesday 17th November: Powerplay subscribers average over 55% race strike and yesterday at the Bool those numbers were maintained but for Doubles, Quaddies and Treble backers the numbers fell in the wrong place with winners in race1,4,5 and 8. The last winner paid $53.10.

I still have over 60 people to contact re the perfomance based contract. I will get there. I started 5.30 a.m. yesterday and 6 a.m. today. My emails are done. Greg and Karen will be back in from today and that will take a load off. The PBC has had just three official bets for a good win and is 2.5 units in front since Friday.

Monday 16th November: *** Nearest The PIn Promotion** Firstly I thought Roger Sumner had it in the bag when he tipped Secession. For the day he raclked up 2484 points but Greg Reid missed Secession but picked up Greatwll Of China and scored over 2500 points. Laurei Drew got 2816 and I thought "well this is it." Jeffrye Li though had Great Wall and he got our equal top rater in the last Dane Julia for a massive 3834. So that was it. No, Christopher Jeakings got Dane Julia AND SEcession plus two other winners and a longshot place bet for 4429 altogether. Congratulations Christopher! Iasbet will credit $200 in free bets to your account if they haven't already done so.

I had fifty million queries about the Premiums rules today. David Bendeich wanted me to make it even clearer than it is on page two. A Set Weights Maiden is a specific class all it's own. A set weights race is a different animal as is a set weights and penalties race and weight for age.

Greg is ill today and so no PBC bets. Richard was concerend as he had to pay us 2.75 units as his share of the weekends profits. "I can't wait to pay you more" he said. The PBC is where you agree to pay us half your profits but only if you win with the bets we give you. No wins , no charge. I still have over 60 peoepl to ring. I will get there.

Susannah is no longer with us as she is moving on. Greg's wife Karen, who was to be working part time will fill the gap in the meantime by working full time. I'm just hoping the Guru is fit and well tomorrow so we can score some more winners.

Six Premiums altogether yesterday. One of them failed the rule test and placed. Of the other five all placed and three won. We are now right back to our average win rate and places are above 90% again. A canadian for the place was a massive result but I didn't take it, instead opting for a small all up on the five. I had two yankees for the win for a $100 unit but with only a short priced double in the first group, lost on the day.

Powerplay susbcribers were looking good for a result at Dubbo with a $23 winning leg but couldn't drag in a result. Greg advised me that we gave out the Sandown quaddie with our Spring package this week.

Sunday 15th November: ** It's times like these you hope you are appreciated. My sister and Dad are here for a roast dinner, the fire alarms are going off (smoke detectors) and I am letting you know the qualifying premiums. Devonport is H, the first at Donald is not a qualifier and the next three are S4. There is a new Best Bet in Bunbury and that is S3.**

I'm sweaty, i'm under pressure from all ends and I'm stressed right out. Some of these better win but I'm sure they will. Now to get on."Coming dear"

Of the eight Premium selections yesterday five won. I managed to get two parlays on with the first four all winning for a profit of $3k+. I'm not gloating however as that performance is just normal. Two of the selections failed to run a place. The last 50 selections resulted in 45% wins and 88% placed.

Grandslam failed to find a winner but managed three places. We had a massive response to the Iasbet closest to the pin promotion with most members finding a winner or placed selection in each race.

We scored the Quinella, the Trifecta and the First Four in the Weekend Feature race. Dividends were not massive but we'll take them. In our Daily Feature race we scored the Quinella the Trifecta and The First Four which paid $25,000+ in WA and $15+ in NSW The Trifecta was over $1,000. I wasn't around to put those bets on myself, i'm only now (sun a.m.) getting the results.

I'm waiting to find out if one of our Members has won the $100,000 for picking the card at Sandown yesterday. The contest is available free to all Betezy account holders every day.

Saturday 14th November: David Bendeich's Rules for Winform Gold are different to the other Rules. Winform Gold is part of the Premium Package but are not put through the Rule process. They are simply taken as they are. There was a win and a place yesterday so we are mainaining a high win and place average with the entire Premium Package.

Yesterday we had the first of our Perfomance Based Contracts in action. Richard would be happy. Two bets for a $6 winner. Today there is just one bet. It is taking us an incredible amount of time to contact everybody while fitting in our other very important tasks so please be patient. Our contracts are each for one year so there is plenty of time.

I am away today so unable to update the diary with the Rules for todays selections, if any. I will post them either when I return tonight or in the morning. actually sneaked it in before I leave 1st one S5, 2nd one C, third one BB, furth one A2 then it looks like four golds subject to scratchings. All or nothing today with eight selections.

I forgot. How could I? Yesterdays Daily Feature Race was another great result. The winner $6.50, The Quinella massive and the Trifecta at IASbet.com over $1200. Greg Horn has selected the Feature Race this week.

Friday 13th November: We received an interesting email today from a Member. Apparently he used Parlay Magic with a starting bank of just $30, and over a short period using Winform Ratings yesterday turned it into $1950 just betting the place. It didn't help me. A very light day with just one bet (3rd) and a couple of cheap Quaddies and Trebles which didn't arrive. If you take these types of bets you have to be prepare for long runs of outs, but when they come, they come, as I am over $20k in front just for the past twelve weeks on these alone.

There are two Premiums today Fannie Bay Race 2 and Moonee Valley Race 5. ( they are both automatic qualifiers)

Thursday 12th November: The two Premiums yesterday had a win and a second and the Winform Gold which is Premium but requires no rules also won. That's six winners so far this week from eight and we remain well above 90% placed. The Premium selection that didn't pass the rules also ran second.

I scored an $11 rebate yesterday. That's because I didn't collect on any of the Powerplay Quaddies or Trebles.

Greg and I are calling everyone on our list for the new selection service. It takes time, longer than we expected because everytime we call someone another five people add their names to the list so No we haven't forgotten you, it is just taking longer.

Wednesday 11th November: Of the four Premiums yesterday the first one ran 3rd, the next two won at above average prices and the last one refused to go to the barrier. I made a profit of $2424 on a yankee because the last horse does not give you a refund. Instead, it is treated as a $1 winner and so I got extra dividends. The Premium Strike Rate remains above 90% and the wins are now back above 40% and rising.

There are 2 Premiums today both qulaify under Davids Rules. Seymour Race 3 Rule C, Ascot Race 1 Rule S5.

On a quirky note, I was woken up last night by my daughter who was hysterical. Her cat captured a rat and brought it inside. Belle picked it up to throw it outside but as she did so it bit her, putting a gash in her hand, blood on the carpet and a visit to the hospital. What are the odds of that?

This Friday we are attending a function with my son in law, a Las Vegas night. A number of city councillors will attend and it will be a great night but although we are having real gaming tables and real chips no actual gambling is allowed. Fortunately, Sportsbet came to the party with some great promotional prizes and we thank them for it. It will be fun.

Tuesday 10th November: Apologies yesterday, for the misprint in the Winform Broadcast. The Winform Ratings Special was offered for the Bendigo Cup, when in fact it is for the Seymour Classic this Wednesday. For just $22 you will recieve the full field of Ratings on the day, emailed to you direct, simply Phone: (02) 4950 1747 or click here to order online.

**There are 4 Premium Selections today and they all qualify under the David Bendeich Rules. Canberra Race 1 Rule S6, Canberra Race 4 Rule Z &JZ, Kilmore Race 6 Rule B, Must be a good track, Canberra Race 6 Rule Z

Two bets for two winners. I guess you can't do much better than that. Today David is coming for his one on one and of course he will meet Greg Horn as well. Thursday Chad is coming up. I am now available at $295 for the session which runs 4-5 hours. A couple of hours 'tuition' to start with followed by a couple of hours practical on live races. The session cost is rebated against future purchases as we feel that we have a responsibility to make available punter education.

In the meantime have discovered that business owners are being targeted for a new push on betting programs. This time it is someone callign themselves Enterprise Australia. They looked me up in a who's who type database, obvioulsy not having a clue about what we do here.

I received a colour magazine which is I have to say very classy and then the punchliine. With their 'sytem' and a $1,000 starting bank I would make $10,000 in no time and after that $56k+ per year. A couple of days later a phone call from someone, and I could hear the call centre activity in the background.

"Hi Garry. I'm calling from E Australia. Did you receive our magazine etc.?" Yes I did. It's very good but I'm not interested in your scam. "No it's not a scam E Australia invests millions of dollars a day through our stockmarket program" at which point I had to remind her that she was trying to sell me a Racing program not their stock market program. Once I explained that I was writing an article about scams the line went dead.

If you want a genuine Racing program that is not a scam, just take a look at our results. Premium is currently at 90% places for the last month. The C Plan constantly hovers around 50% and Grandslam is 80+ units ahead for the year. Our Top Two rated horses win around 34% of all races at an average price of $5.50.

Those who expressed interest in partnering with us on a preformance based contract will be contacted this week. There area large number of members involved so it will take all week to reach everyone.

Monday 9th November: There are two Premium Selections today, Colac Race 1 quilifies under rule S7 and Colac R4 Quilifies under rule F. Powerplay Subscribers yesterday sc ored the Cranbourne Quaddie with an $898.50 collect and also the treble $135.10 Subscribers to Premium and applying David Bendeich Rules would be happy with a strike rate of 91% from the last 35 selections

Sunday 8th November: You could have predicted it. Only The Best came good with three solid winners from six selections. Premium was one from three and all placed and a level stakes profit. Grandslam four bets for two winners. Four out of seven for Winform Singles.

The Spring Package found a $1,000+ Trifecta in the first race and a $18 winner in the Queen Elizabeth and our best Wanted each way paying as much as $4.60 for a game second.

The new service for Performance Based Contractors has kicked off nicely with a considerabel profit. We hope to be in touch with everyone who expressed an interest by the end of the week.

I haven't done a lot with Powerbet with everything that is happening but yesterday I found $294 profit using just a $10 base bet. There were 11 winning races in the first two hours which is just average. It's all you need really. If you enjoy betting in just about every race it is ideal.

Our Premium Selection qualifies under S7.

Saturday 7th November: I never used to do a diary on Saturday but diaries are one of those things. You can become addicted to them. As anyone who knows me knows, I have my share of family problems with a son who waxes and wanes with his bi polar and compulsive obsessive behaviour and my wife Ros who suffers accordingly and has health problems of her own.

The diary is about the life of a Professional Punter who is subject to the same stresses and traumas as everyone else. It is not the glamorous lifestyle that the general public perceives it to be. At the same time I use the diary to advise punters and provide feedback from other punters who pass interesting snippets of their punting life to me.

One thing that came up this week was from an Only The Best subscriber. He has decided to quit, because after six months the strike rate is only 19% and not the 30% that this plan has produced in the previous four years. He admits that, yes there have only been a relatively small number of selections and he like I, expect it to turn around by the time twelve months is up. But you know what? Because the selections are only on one day each week, it takes such a long time in human terms for the cycle to change that he and others have moved on to something else. I hope whatever that is, works.

Our regular ratings subscibers don't have those problems as much. The various selection methods might go off the boil for a week, two weeks or a month but the cycle changes quickly. The Premium Selections are like that. The past 31 Selections have produced 27 places (more actually but some have been in small fields and so paid no dividend). That is a strike rate of 86% but only twelve of those have won (39%). At least it is obvious that there is nothing wrong with the selections, in fact there were several eyelash decisions that could have just as easily gone the other way.

Those subscribers using Money Factory, have had no problems at all. In fact it is better for them to have a mild losing streak to keep their bet size up.

Greg and Karen Horn are doing the Saturday races for the first tiem today on their own. I will be monitoring the website from home in case there are any problems but it is a very busy day. The Premium Selections rule for qualifiers may not appear until after lunch but the idea of having them here is only as a check for users, not a selection service. Good luck for today, we are providing a Good Track rating for Flemington today

The Geelong race 1 Premium is S6, and in race 2 S3, the other is a WG and requires no rule.

Friday 6th November: **Please note that the Port Macquarie Meeting has been abandoned and there are no Premium selections today**

The Spring package came close to a good score yesterday with six of the nine winners at Flemington. Our Best Bet of the day was a winner and there were a couple of good quinellas. The C Plan had some good wins but Powerplay had more action than we've seen for some time. But we missed out on the Treble and Quaddie.

Tomorrow is the last day of the Flemington Carnival but there is still a round of country and Provincial Cups plus the Sandown Classic before the action heats up in Perth.

(Guru here) Garry has been a bit conservative with his comments on the Spring Package above. In the 3rd Race we suggested that Umatain was a standout out and it duely saluted at $15. We scored the Quinella at $45.

We scored 6 races in a row at the odds of $6.00, $15.20, $5.00, $4.00, $1.65, $4.40 and 3 quinellas at $45, $10.60 and $31.00.

The Summer edition of Horse Racing Australia Magazine was wrapped up yesterday and all that remains is the proofing before we send it off to the printers.

David ter Hedde followed our advice about what to do with free bets when he took up his IASbet.com offer to former Canbet account holders. He was offered $200 top up for a $100 deposit. From Saturday to Tuesday he threw caution to the wind and made a few hundred dollars. He followed up with a multi bet on our top rated horses in the last three races at Ascot on Tuesday. Well why not? He was now playing with "their" money. For a $50 treble and three doubles he collected a mere $32.5k for a total of nealy $40,000 from a starting bank of $100 last Saturday. To read the full details see our Feedback page and if you have a similar story to tell, please let us know.

Thursday November 5th 2009: Powerplay nailed two of the Treble legs yesterday, both at $12 and $28 but we missed the vital middle leg. The Daily Double paid $549 for a $12 outlay. Todays Oaks meeting is on the Saturday page for weekend Subscribers. Good luck today!

Today there are four Premiums Race 1 Pakenham does not Quilify.

AR3 Quilifys under rule JZ. Pakenham R3 Quilifys rule AB and Pinjarra R7 QuilifyS under rule CC.

Please note some corrections to the Rule book that we have just been notified by David.

Page 23        Rule CC            remove the requirement that says One lifetime start only
Page 45        Rule ZZ            change race distance to say up to and including 1400 m

** Check out our new and improved Winform Bookshop! Prue has ironed out the kinks and has our online store back up and running. Click Here **

Shocking was our fourth rated horse and made a dutch bet profit for the race. Because of the prices it was probably our smallest profit for some years. We have no boasts to make about the entire Flemington program and our records show that our regular subscribers were mostly not interested in betting for the day except our Premium subscribers who cleaned up.

We had three Premium winners yesterday from the qualifiers and they all placed so 100% is a good result.

Our Powerplay subscribers had an amazing day with a $40+ winner of the first leg of the Treble which netted $7400 for a small outlay. They also got the Perth Quaddie and Treble on top of the $5k+ Kilmore Quaddie Sunday.

Greg Horn is spending this morning on tomorrow's Oaks meeting. There is only the one Group race but there may be other opportunities. Me? I would have been happier yesterday if the fourth Premium had won instead of second, which would have given me a 10k collect, although it was the longshot that got me the Treble.

There have been some interesting ads for bookmakers lately, and I could be wrong but they seem mainly directed at the "yobbo" market but they are quite funny, even if they are sexist. Fancy insulting your intelligence by thinking you will have a bet just because there are beauties and a geek in the ad.

Tuesday November 3rd: I'll keep this brief. It's Melbourne Cup Day and we will be flat out this morning. Subscribers will find the Metro meetings on the Saturday page and all minor meetings on the Tuesday page. The Cup will be on the weekend Feature race page.

Non subscribers can get our Cup strategy on 1902 210 680 now (Calls fixed at $11 per call). Melbourne is experiencing showers as I write but once the change has passed through it should be okay. We will base our selections on a GOOD track even though it will start off DEAD.

There are 6 Premium Races today. Four Qualify under David Bendeich's Premium Rules; Echuca R1 Rule S6 , Gold Coast R3 Rule B, Echuca R6 Rule S4 and Gold Coast R6 Rule Z.

Good Luck for today.

NOTE: THE OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FROM 12 MIDDAY TODAY. We will be back 9am tomorrow morning.

Monday November 2nd: October was generally a good month for our punters with bookmakers losing at what is a normally boom month. Of course the TABs make money every day. They never have a losing day as they deduct their profits from the pool before they start.

All four Premium bets qualified yesterday, thrree of them placed making the total for the weekend including Winform Gold five out of twelve with eleven placed. Unfortunately two of those didn't collect a dividend.

Powerplay Subscribers did well yesterday with the Klimore Quaddie $5272 and Treble $740. The dividends were surprising as the winners were $5, $4, $17 and $4.9. You simply can't predict what this type of bet will pay. Outlay was just $144 for the Quaddie and $36 for the Treble.

In the Summer Magazine (released in four weeks) we have an article on how the Quddie originated and some tips on how to get them.

Sunday November 1st: I did miss one Premium yesterday as it came up following a late scratching. The Gold Coast horse was a bet under Rule L. I ran parlays on the Premiums and Winform Gold And landed three sets of three winners but missed the vital four in a row. For $100 parlays I made $1775. Had I scored just one more winner in a row it would have been $18K Maybe today..

Today there are four Premiums Mornington is Rule S, The first at Bet won is S3, The second is J (Set Weights Maiden is different from a set weights race) The Mt Barker qualifies under rule S5.

Top Two had a 33% Strike rate yesterday including a $21 winner at Doomben.

On Tuesday we will post Mebourne Cup and Metro races on the Saturday page and the minor meetings on the Tuesday page. The Flemington races are on both sites NOW!

Saturday 31st October: ***FLEMINGTON RATINGS FOR TUESDAY ARE ONLINE NOW UNDER BOTH SATURDAY AND TUESDAY*** it's a fine day in Melbourne but unexpected heavy showers yesterday have reduced it to a Dead 5 which means we are on a damp track all day. Shamoline Warrior is a shock scratching from the Derby which means that Onemorenomore comes right into calculations and the off track won't bother him.

Our three Premium Selections yesterday all ran 2nd inclduing the first one in a three horse field. As one person said "He placed? I thought he finished in the middle of the field!" Good luck today.

Our first Premium at Rosehill doesn't qualify (I thought BG earlier but there are first starters), The second is rule V, Trarlgon Premium is Rule S7 and Morphettville Rule BG

Friday 30th October: ***To all KTWC3 Premium Rule clients: If you login to the Members Area with the username and password provided in the most recent email you were sent, you will find the most up to date version of the rules***

Two Premium bets yesterday both ran second. We are now operating under The Key to Winning Consistantly 3 Premium Rules by David Bendeich. For the information of current subscribers the bet at Sunshine Coast Race 3 qualifies under Rule BC & S5 .The Selection at Warracknabeel Quaslifies under rule S9, the Bet in Sunshine Coast Qualifies under Rule Z.

For members who have the new Premium Rules but dont have a Premium subscription you can ring the line now on 1902 210 680 to get todays selections.

Today is the last chance to get the Spring Package for the Flemington Carnival. You can contact the office before 4pm on (02) 4950 1747.

Garry & I ( Greg Horn ) have placed a great deal of study into this weekends Derby Day so hopefully we can reap a nice reward for all Winform Clients. Derby Day is one of the most exciting days on the racing calender but always a tough assignment as well , so cross your fingers and enjoy.

Thursday 29th October: Flemington Saturday is Australia's biggest raceday with all nine races Group level. Just for fun I ran through our database and discovered that both our strike rate and profit is higher on these races than any other. I actually thought it was harder to find winners in these races. I suppose it is because of disappoints when it doesn't come out right.

When Efficient won the Cup we weren't on it. We find the winner of most Cups but not that one. I spent all afternoon yesterday on Flemington but only just scraped in half the program. The rest will take most of today. Come Saturday I will want my reward and not another disappointment like yesterday when I had a big bet each way Big Col at Bendigo. He was tailed out all the way until a grandstand finish into 4th Place. Bugga! I got most of my money back later with El Mandon but it's not the same is it?

Premium had two bets for a win and another photo 2nd.

Wednesday 28th October:" Saturdays rating for Flemington are available now on the Saturday page. "It's Bendigo Cup Day today and the weather is expected to be fine. Unlike here, where it's still miserable and the grass is growing faster than I can keep it mowed.

Yesterday Karen and Greg reviewed the new Premium E-Book and made changes to the format to make it as easy as possible and as error free as possible. Now David Bendeich is reviewing it himself again with the final going out by the end of this week.

For the first time we can remember there is no Queensland meeting today.

Bravo Service: THIS IS IMPORTANT. This service is going awful this year and yesterday I did a review. I should have done it long ago. The Bravo was based on betting certain race classes and because of the ratings based handicaps and now Benchmark handicaps in NSW, thousands of the races Bravo was based on no longer take place having been replaced.

I am reviewing th process entirely to see if I can come up with something to find those same type of selections but in keeping with original parameters i.e. a horse with a high rating which has recently slipped under the radar. I'll keep you posted.

Tuesday 27th October : Hello its Greg Horn here today. Garry and Prue have both been extremely busy training myself and Karen in internal processes of delivering the ratings to you in a timely and professional manner. We are a little slow at this stage but will get a lot quicker I promise. It appears there is a long road ahead as there is so much to learn here in the background of Winform's headquarters.

I have however had the chance to carefully analyse the form for the Bendigo Cup for tomorrow. We are all cashed up from our Spring Package Selections Saturday and our $7 winner Offenders in the Sale Cup on Sunday. Its not too late to subscribe to the Spring Package as there are still 9 Major Race days that will be covered over the Carnival, simply phone the office on: (02) 4950 1747

Monday 26th October: Damian told me he had a bad day with the C Plan Saturday and we soon sorted out that he had missed a couple early on. He was also making, not so much a mistake but an error of judgement by waiting until the last possible moment instead of spotting the favourite five minutes out and then just getting the best price possible. Sunday we scored seven from the first eight and he was going well he told me. Using the C Plan strategy he had actually been getting an average return well above the $2 needed to make a profit.

Our Daily Feature Race found a solid winner plus the Quinella, which I didn't take. There were six Premium bets of which four qualified under the new rules for two wins and two places, the last one missed by a whisker and cost me a $10k payout.

Sunday 25th October: I guess the Spring Selections turned out O.K. With wins to Hanks $9.50, Avenue of course at $1.65, Apache Cat $3.50 and Lady Lynette $6.50 but we missed the big ones. So You Think did what we expected Sir Slick to do. Put up a lead and kick on in the straight. Seriously bad riding by most jockeys to let the 3yos get away like that but it becomes a case of who goes first and nobody did.

Hissing Sid had a very poor run in transit so no wonder it did nothing at the end. If you were disappointed about the very few Premiums yesterday, one for one winner, then wait until you see the selections today, about six! Grandslam had three straight winners yesterday for a winning day. Only The Best had two out of three.

The C Plan had four winners from the first five eligible races.

Saturday 24th October: We had one Premium qualifier yesterday which missed. This follows the previous day when we had one win from four. All up for the week we made a profit. Long term we average over 50% winners which gives us the opportunity to score multi wins.We could use one of those today.

Trevor Johns has produced another outstanding article for our Summer magazine which is in production for release at the end of November. Many subscribers would like to see a monthly magazine but there is simply not enough new material and we don't like to repeat ourselves. Our aim is for our readers and subscribers to win. Let's hope we do that today.

I am over my "bug" thank goodness and can actually concentrate on making some cash today.

Something I've noticed recently is that the horse racing forums have lost a lot of their depth with far fewer contributors. It's a phenomenon that is not confined to horse racing either. Perhaps more people are getting some fresh air instead. Good luck today. I'm off for my morning walk before I collect the scratchings.

Friday 23rd October: I had a bad day yesterday having got caught with my wife's "bug". I'm staying home again today to avoid passing it on but I didn't miss any work yesterday. I set Greg Horn to work on the Moonee Valley program and did the same independently. Surprisingly we came up with very similar results. By 10 a.m. today Ratings Subscribers should see the selections on the Saturday page and we will email Spring Package subscribers this morning at some stage.

Greg has also posted his Big 6 Selections which will cost $23 for A 2% share which two weeks ago would have returned $3500. The Quaddie part costs just $10 for a 10% share of the dividend. The selections will be sent out with the Spring Package.

I also spent several hours yesterday reviewing David Bendeich's new Premium rule set. The new set is 46 pages and all rules are strictly alphabetical and you no longer have two tables to refer to, just one. We expect to email all purchasers the download link next week. Bendeich has spent many hours preparing this work and while it has of course cost a lot to do, we are not charging any previous purchaser a cent.

Thursday 22nd October: Apologies for the late posting on the diary today. For those eagerly awaiting their Spring Carnival Information, Garry and the Guru are hard at work now getting Moonee Valley ready for Saturday and hope to have the information out very soon to Carnival Subscribers.

The remainder of the Spring Carnival Package is available for JUST $69 on: (02) 4950 1747 and includes: Cox Plate, Darby Day, Melbourne Cup, Oaks Day and Emirates...HURRY!

Yesterday we had another Best Bet winner at Ascot and our Success Express and Winform Gold Selection at Strathalbyn also won at $1.70.

Wednesday 21st October:
One qualifying Premium yesterday for one good $2.80 winner (best Tote). We've been advised that Betezy is offering openings for punters to run their own business by introducing people to Betezy. Anyone interested should simply lodge their details at Betezy by clicking the Be Your Own Boss banner.

Today we are busy putting newsletters in envelopes. Even the "guru" has been called in to help. Susannah is off sick so we will be up against it but you should start receiving it late this week or early next.

Tuesday 20th October: ***LATE NEWS*** Austote has been closed down by Sportsbet. The last day is October 22nd. All Members who have accounts should make sure that they have filed bank details to receive any outstanding balances. Any unclaimed balance goes directly to the Norfolk Island Government.**

Greg had to make a selection yesterday as there were no official Best Bets. He duly selected a four lengths winner at $2.40 at Launceston. He also had to select a Daily Feature Race. While the eventual winner was also short priced nevertheless that is two out of two. Not bad for a first day at the office.

This afternoon we will be sending out the Spring Analysis for tomorrow's Geelong Cup. Ratings Subscribers will find the selections at the bottom of the Early Wednesday Ratings after 10:00 a.m. today.

Monday 19th October: The Spring Carnival is leaping ahead. Only The Cox Plate and Derby Day and the Mckinnon to go before the Melbourne Cup and it will be difficult to assess some of the lead up form. Viewed and Efficient are in but after that?

Five Premium winners from the last six is a good set. A number of our subcribers bet these for the place and it's probably because they like to collect, and often. With as high as 90% at times I can understand that, especially in the past week or so. I prefer to stick to the win and the multiples. David Bendeich has advised that there will be significant changes to the rules in the next couple of weeks that will improve things further. He has become aware that there are specific tracks, for example, where we never seem to win.

Greg Horn starts today. Greg will be selecting the Feature race today and loading up the races on the website along with other information. He is likely to add his input to the diary.

Sunday 18th October: In the end we were left with a DEAD track at Caulfield yesterday. It only changed the dynamics a little bit. Powerplay subscribers would have been disappointed at first but in the end we did score the Randwick Quaddie and Treble for a generous payout of $2800+ and $411.

The Premium selections kicked off with a favourite that ran last, although it wasn't a qualifier, and three straight winners which netted me personally over $3,000 profit.

In Race 9 at Caulfield Greg "The Guru" Horn, missed with Diplomatic Force but I backed First Command and I think all of Australia did, and I suggested that Happy Glen was great value at $35. I was able to get $61 each way on Friday at TAB Sportsbet. I am no fan of the TABs but this arm of their business offering fixed place odds is worth taking a look at. Rod Cleary's Vicbet.com is the only other place I know where you can regularly get fixed price place odds.

Saturday 17th October: Yesterday was a bit lacklustre with no Powerplay action at all. There were two meetings with heavy tracks which just about elminates any C Plan possibilities, leaving just Taree and Townsville where our strike rate is generally alright but good dividends hard to come by. I didn't have a bet but I did have another good look at Caulfield today and I did read every review and listen to as many as I could. If you followed everyone's advice you would have to box the fiield in the big one.

So is it possible a big Quaddie could get up again today? It certainly could. Whether it will be in our numbers I don't know. Probably not but then that's the risk. There are six Powerplay venues today so plenty of action. We will post Caulfield today both with Dead and Good track ratings as we do expect an upgrade.

Friday 16th October: My son helped Ros get the deck of our old house sanded and painted yesterday. The many Members who know me will know what a victory that is. He is staying with us while he gets his medication right and while he waits for a new job which is starting up soon.

I had a call from Geoff yesterday. He is betting the C Plan and started with a bank of $1250 which quickly rose to over $2800 before dropping back. On chatting to Geoff it quickly became apparent what the problem was. He was only betting when he could dutch two horses and make 100% or more. That's well and good but instead of getting over 50% winning races at better than $2 average return, he would be getting closer to 40% winning races.

To get an "average" return of over $2 per race means that some race you might only get $1.50 and others as much as $3. Take out either end and you blow the average and lose. I myself baulk at taking any less than 50% but if one of the horses has the potential to pay more e.g it might be $10 fixed but could blow out to $15 in TAB betting then I will take lower but that is a subjective judgement.

Greg Horn has spent several hours perusing the Caulfield form, just two races in fact, and has come up with his stratgey for tomorrow. Those comments will be emailed to Spring Package subscribers today and for Rating Subscribers will be updated to the early Saturday file this morning after 10 a.m.

Premium had two qualifiers yesterday but both placed. as one subscriber pointed out (he must be betting place) there has only been one bet missed the place in the past week.

Thursday 15th October: Craig was half way to Sydney before he realised he had been given the wrong directions yesterday. In the meantime I was in the office ready to meet him by 8:00 a.m.. I was just about to give up when 'knock, knock'. At 9:45 a.m. a breathless Craig arrived at our door. At the end of the day I believe I have solved his problems. He has been with Winform for some time but was undecided about his future strategy. Hopefully that is now resolved and he is using Powerbet during the day and Money Factory for his overnight Footy bets using the column set up that allows users to have as many as 12 bets on at the one time. Craig can now make money while he sleeps.

My demonstration of the C Plan was clear, unfortunately the outcome was not as I lost three units during the day.

Premium had four bets for two wins and two seconds but I wanted four out of four. No luck with the Quadies either. I hope last Saturday didn't use up all our luck.

Wednesday 14th October: One problem with this diary is that you are living literally one day at a time. Yesterday was as bad as it gets. Only a 12% strike rate in the Top Two Winform ratings. The first C Plan race of the day was a winner though.

Today I have another one on one. This time with Craig who has been all over the place recently. He moved from Melbourne to Brisbane but in the past week has been to Singapore, back to Brisbane and today to Newcastle and back. On Friday I have another meeting, the last I can do until after Melbourne Cup.

Readers should be aware that I am constantly monitoring and upgrading my selection processes. The latest will ensure that Grandslam remains one of our best. We are also releasing a new service for those who simply want a selection service based on No Win No Cost. It is a simple process whereby you receive a selection or selections and you pay a portion of your winnings in return for the information. Details will be posted to Members next week along with the September/October Newsletter.

Tuesday 13th October: One Premium selection yesterday but it failed the rules. It won anyway. After a lot of work, the rules have been revised and an updated set will be released soon. With changes to Racing and new tracks as well as old tracks no longer Racing the changes are not major but they will try to take into account changes over the past eighteen months. Every loser eliminated increases future profits.

It is likely that future profit, especially for parlays, will increase dramatically. The changes will only be of use to Premium subscribers.

We received advice yesterday that only half a dozen people collected a portion of the Big 6 on Saturday with one collect at 25% with the next best 8.33%. We haven't heard from any Member who actually took the selections we gave out last Friday. It's a pity but all is not lost. Over $200,000 is being added to the Victorian Big 6 for each of the major meetings over the next four weeks which will ensure massive pools and we will have another go at them. A 1% flexi doesn't cost much but can pay a lot.

Monday 12th October: David Toulson arrived back in Australia yesterday and his Premier League tips will be back from this weekend. Also, his Punters Club will resume with a big challenge ahead.

Plenty of winners from Powerplay subscribers yesterday, at up to $20.90 but no Quaddies or Trebles. No Premium qualifiers and our Daily Feature Race got us just a second.

Saturday night I took Ros to the movies. We have been so busy lately, moving house, organising the business, looking after our son's illness and recovery (ongoing) that tine after time the movies we wanted to see have come out on video but it's not the same. We saw Julie and Julia and what a refreshing movie it is.

There were no races, no gambling, no serious problems just the joy of cooking and tempting the tastebuds and it was a true story of the lives of two people of different generations. For two and a half hours our worries and cares melted away.

But it's back to work today with another one on one. Our architect client is exploring the world of the professional punter with a view to beating the game after being beaten by it with one of those scams we have told you about.

Sunday 11th October: I have now put it all together. The numbers I gave the Media contest on Friday plus the numbers I took in the Quaddie today equal an outlay of $2306 on the Big 6 and $576 on the Quaddie. I would have only got back $843000 and $120000 Plus. Or it could have been say $200 on the Big 6 for $84000 back and say $288 on the Quaddie for $60k+. Now it all seems logical but the fact that I was flat out putting all the members info online and phone lines and SMS's and emails plus my son is staying with us and he was a bit on edge today and I was trying to keep my work away from him. It can be hard to concentrate but at the end of the day I am in front.

There were three Premium bets yesterday and the first qualifier won by 4 lengths, the Gold ran 2nd and the one that didn't qualify had the hide to win at $3.10. We got one Only The Best winner but no Grandslams today. So You Think missed the start but I reckon anyone who got their Spring package would be happy.

***Here it is no bull. I am in a media contest to raise money for Youth Off The Streets. I had four of the six legs of the Big 6. I only missed the Guineas because I left out my third rated horse to cut the outlay. I actually got a consolation dividend because I accidentally put an extra horse in one leg and it won.

In the Quaddie I had three legs. I left out the 3rd rated horse in the last leg because it did not meet the Powerplay criteria. My horse in the last were paying $14k, $14k. $29k and $149k so I did a smart thing. I bet every other horse and sacrificed $4,000 of what would have been my win. That gave me a profit of just under $4,000. With just one more horse in the last leg I would have collected $120000. Oh well, my outlay was only $70.

Saturday 10th October:*** Late NEWS! Allez Wonder at $45 is the horse I tipped to the Spring package clients on Friday. It was $61 then. Michael Thompson has already emailed and thanked us for it. He is the first of many I would think.**** Ratings subscribers would have noted that it had a 20 point penalty. That is because it had a strike rate of 14.3%. Add that back to its rating and it moves up to second rated.

I noticed one loss and one win from the first two C Plan races yesterday then nothing for some time. Our one Premium was unplaced as a short priced favourite. Only one Powerplay venue yesterday for no result.

Today there are some non TAB venues and it is our first Saturday with Daylight saving which delays some services by an hour and it will be that way until the end of March next year. The Caulfield meeting is a real challenge. Okay, time for me to get started.

Friday 9th October: Our Premium special ran third in a tight three way photo yesterday. Powerplay subscribers scored though when the one meeting produced the Treble and Quaddie and of course some great Running Doubles and the Daily Doubles as well. The Treble paid $374 and the Quaddie between $2388 UNITAB and over $3k on NSWtab. My bet on UNITAB certanly had an effect on the dividend.

We are putting the latest Newsletter together at the moment and if any reader would like anything to be addressed please email winform@hunterlink.net.au. today. September just gone has not been our best month for punting except for Grandslam which continues on its merry winning way. There was one piece of good news though and that is that sales of Horse Racing Australia Magazine have increased through our well received Winter Edition. We have also received numerous orders for the complete set of previous editions as the vast majority of articles are as relevant today as they were when written.

We received a copy today of David Bendeich's articles for the December issue of the Magazine. The first is an article on how to win on maiden races. It is dynamite. The second explores winning on the Harness races Now there's a challenge. These articles alone will make the magazine a must have purchase.

The Guru's thoughts on the weekend: Garry, I have looked at Saturday’s meeting from many angles. If history and records has taught me one thing, that is to tread carefully on Toorak Day. Often there are many upsets. The form of the Runner’ on Saturday, are somewhat suspect and yet the prices are in my opinion very poor. I do however think that in the Gp1 Caulfield Guineas that So You Think with the Bart Cummings magic at $7,50 represents a great each way bet and take the Quinella all day with Trusting who should have got us the bickies last start. So you think might find these a bit slick but it is interesting to note that he is not in the Derby or Thousand Guineas markets but only $18 for the Cox Plate Market!
Interesting! Regards,The Guru.

Thursday 8th October: It will be a busy day today. As soon as get final acceptors for Caulfield it will be analysis, analysis, analysis. I will be in touch with my contacts at Caulfield re expected track conditions etc. as well.

We had no Premiums at all yesterday but the good ol C Plan came good with three wins from the first four eligible races. I stuffed up on one race where I shouldn't have bet but got the winner all the same. Powerplay found plenty of winners but missed the Treble and Quaddies. At Bathurst we were on a $1000+ pay (for a 50c unit) on three horses but finished second. Our best prospect got back to the tail ofthe field and just couldn't make up the leeway.

What's with this weather? I've had to put a coat on today.

Wednesday 7th October: I am meeting with John shortly for a further one on one while Prue attends to business. Susannah is still ill but should be back tomorrow. With five meetings today we should see some action hopefully. Yesterdays Premium failed to qualify but won anyway and at $3.10. Premiums win over 40% of races without any further qualifications but those meeting the special rules hit at nearly 50% while those that don't still score a respectable 35% or more.

Betezy have advised that many of our Members have many non active accounts that have funds in them. After a period of time unclaimed funds go to the government and that is the last place I would want my money to go. Betezy offer best of three totes on all Australian gallops meetings even on country and provincial meetings and it is an offer that is hard to go past.

Tuesday 6th October: Nothing exciting to report from yesterday. One Premium qualifier for a second. One Premium nonqualifier for a loss. Every selection that gets eliminated adds an extra unit profit to our Bank. The big wet arrived with a vengeance yesterday so didn't get a lot done outside. This is the time of they year we sweat on the weather being kind in Melbourne. Every week from now is an opportunity.

Monday 5th October: It's a public holiday in NSW so the office is closed. I am still working however. One losing Premium bet yesterday but other than that I spent the day watching the Grandfinal and having a few drinks with family (as you do). I took a Melbourne / Melbourne half time full time double and was disappoitned to get just $1.85 and I remember thinking the price was a bit short. Before the game I checked my account and found that the bet had been paid. On a closer look I had taken the double in the Toyota Cup under 20's final.

It was our last Weekend Sports bet until David Toulson arrives back from Europe in two weeks when our regular English Premier League bets go up again. It hasnt been our best season but new rules iin AFL and the two refereee system in the NRL have changed the dynamics of our two biggest games. It beat us early in the season but we came good over the last couple of months to end up about even.

Today, Saturday Ratings Subscribers will find today's public holiday meetings under "Saturday". Everyday Subscribers will still find the Ratings uner Monday as usual.

Sunday 4tth October: It's NRL Grand Final day so I'll sit and relax while I watch what is sure to be a spectacular game with the tew best attacking teams in the competition. Three qualified Premiums yesterday for one winner at $2.80 and a second which paid remarkable place odds of $1.80 in a five horse race.

Only The Best scored a $4.80 best fluc winner. Grandslam had a losing day with two wins from niine but only down a little under two units.

The C Plan kiicked off with four straight winning races. Our Spring Package found winners again but as the day wore on at Randwick it was surely not the place to have a serious bet. We selected Miss Marielle again but this time got $10. At Flemington we had the Turnbull won until Efficient burst through out wide and First Command looked home too. It happens. It wouldn't pay to take too much notice of the Randwick form but the Flemington form should be spot on with some serious times run.

Saturday 3rd October: Two Premium bets yesterday for one place. Today I expect only a couple but there will be between eight and ten Grandslam Selections. I am unaware of how much rain has fallen at Randwick. The radar shows only light patchy rain but it is heavier out to sea. Melbourne radar is clear except for drizzle patches.

Powerplay Subscribers caught up on a disappointing Thursday by nailing the Kyneton Treble and Quaddie which paid $1759. It was a good dividend considering two legs were won by short priced favourites. A fair dividend would have been $370 -$400. This is the benefit of this type of bet. I hope for more of the same today.

*** A brilliant start for the month. Three Premium bets with two qualifiers and two winners. The third selection was placed. Powerplay was on fire with winners up to $30.80. Sadly we missed the Ballarat Treble and the Quaddie when the race eight selections ran 2nd and 3rd. Either represneted a $2k payout. The Naracoorte Treble and Quaddie were some compensation.

It was an extremely hard task preparing my comments for this weekends blockbuster Group Racing. I just hope I have found some genuine winners. I did notice a couple of chances at around the $30+ mark and I will have a go at those. If my Metropolitan smokie gets up there'll be a major celebration. The last smokie I got up in that race was Glastonbury. I also noticed a disappointing lack of quality in some fields.

I've had an email asking my advice about what to bet when you are lucky enough to score a free bet? My view is that you should bet something you would have liked to bet but were not game to risk your own money. Vicbet.com gives one Member a $100 Freebet each week and a $100 Freebet if they are betting on your birthday. They tell me most Members use their freebet on short priced favourites. Well that doesn't win you much. Instead, have a go at something at a decent price. Then if you win you have something to gloat about.

I've given the girls the weekend off which means two things. Nobody will be in the office tomorrow and I will be busy all weekend. Good lcuk in the Grand Final Sunday.

Thursday October 1st: It's a good news bad news day. Wednesday we had little action except for the Winform Singles but hey we scored four good winners from just a few bets. Our new punting Guru, Greg has sent very bad news though. He and wife Karen are in a three storey town house and Karen tried the quick way down when they were packing for the move to Newcastle.

The result is an ankle broken in two places. Greg will be busily doing the rest of the packing after he organises an urgent appointment with an orthopeadic surgeon tomorrow. Regretably that means he is unable to find time to put forward his Selections for this weekends Feature Races. Sorry Karen, we do seriously sympathise with you too. He'll be hard to put up with for a while won't he?

We thought things were going too smoothly with Greg's punting and selections to date going so well. It could be a long trip up here as Greg will now be doing all the driving. Hopefully all will be back on track in a few days and while ankles are uncomfortable, in six weeks all should be well.

In the meantime I will be working doubly hard tomorrow from acceptances onwards and hope this is the weekend when we find the longshots although anyhting above $5 or $6 will do. I wouldn't mind a Trifecta or First Four we could have a go at.

Wednesday 30th September: Last day of an interesting month. Jim Cassidy does his Edward Scissorhands impersonation to end a farcical month with whip rules, no whip rules and so on. Grandslam, for the record has made $8,450 for $100 bets so far this year. One Member advised they were $35,000 in front and Damien is $14,400 ahead using the Professional Staking Plan and starting with $100 bets in January.

The sixty four Grandslam Subscribers who did not resubscribe this year must be kicking themselves and I just don't understand it, although it does take a committed punter to bet through the run of 25 losses we had in February March this year.

Anyhow, thanks for all those who entered the draw for the Takeover Target books. We will notify everyone tomorrow and if you missed out you can always secure a copy at your book outlet when it goes on sale tomorrow. It's $34.95 and I'll bet you can get it everywhere from Borders to K Mart.

Tuesday 29th September: There was some confusion re the Premium Rules yesterday. There was just one qualifying bet and that was the race one selection which won at $3.60. The next selection was in a set weights maiden for which David Bendeich has set special rules. The other category set weights and set weights with penalties does not include the set weights maiden category. I hope that clears it up.

Three out of four wins yesterday for Premium subscribers. We also scored the Daily Feature race with Double Your Luck coming out in front in race 5 at Orange.

There is still time to enter the 'Takeover Target Giveaway' competition that was promoted in our email newsletter yesterday. For all the information click here Send in your entry, one per person to wrc@hunterlink.net.au before 4:00 p.m. today. Winners will be nominated in our next Winform E-News Edition.

Monday 28th September: Nobody called to tell me that the last three diary notes had the wrong dates on them. I did feel a little fuzzie yesterday. Now I know why.

Anyhow, we scored the Queanbeyan Quaddie and Treble yesterday but lost with Port Macquarie and Caulfield being most unkind. There were four Premiums. The two that qualified ran 1st and 2nd, the latter being knocked off by a $61 shot. The two unqualified selections both placed. The Daily Feature was a wipeout. We didn't even get close. It was that sort of day.

At Launceston we scored eight of the nine winners with our Powerplay Selections which included a $18 and $9+ winner.

Today Tom is joining me at my new home office for a one on one.

Sunday 27th September: Three winnning Sports Bets returned $276 profit on a $20 unit Patent at IASbet.com The winners were never in doubt. The NRL Grand Final will be next week and from then we will all have lots of spare time sportswise and can concentrate on the Spring Carnival.

I finally caught McLintock and even though officially he was $5.50 BestFluc, up to $8 was available from some sites. I also flagged that Bellagio Wynn would improve and he was somewhat unlucky, losing the start by lengths and missing the win by less than a length at $11. The Place dividend of $3.30 was some compensation. Our Best Bets both went down.

Today we have an ordinary Caulfield meeting with no races that will impact on Spring but it will spice up an otherwise ordinary Sunday.

Saturday 26th September: Our first Sportsbet got up last night. The Bulldogs were first to score as predicted even though they lost as expected. Today we have two similar bets. I'd like to see St Kilda break their Premiership duck but I'd like to see the Cats make up for last year too.

I scored two winners from last night's Moonee Valley Spring Package Races. The Guru missed out, although his main play ran 3rd at $6+. Premiums were successful again yesterday and we are back on track. Thursday we scored a Quaddie and two Trebles but missed out yesterday. I had a go last night and scored three legs but missed the all important second leg.

Our Daily Feature race scored when Danleigh saluted at $21. I liked the way Apache Cat finished. We're in for a fun day I think.

Friday 25th September: Four Premium bets yesterday for two wins and a place. Several Premiums today. If Grandslam were operating at tonight's Moonee Valley meeting the Selections would be: Race 1, 1, Race 2, 1, Race 6, 1 and Race 7, 7. I'll be interested to see how they go.

A couple of years ago I bought CNP shares when they dropped from $11 to $1.21. Then they dropped to 3 cents but there was nothing wrong with a share which was backed by some massive fully let shopping centres. I tried to buty 200,000 shares at 7 cents when thy started to move but my broker Ord Minnett said "No". Today they are 38 cents and there is an ASX query about why they are up. Well a shopping centre owner would be up as consumer confidence starts to rise. The only problem is that the banks "stole" 90% of the shareholders equity in exchange for continuing finance. I worry about the "expertise" of brokers. I reckon racehorse tipsters like myself have a better record all things considered.

I reckon there are a lot of millionaires being made as the market picks up.

My wife and I have started getting rid of the red dust today. It will take weeks to get it all. Wish we could get that Melbourne rain.

Thursday 24th September 2009: IASbet.com has dropped one stage in the login process to make thimgs slightly quicker. It is a good move. The wind has settled today with clear blue skies in Newcastle. Everything is covered in red dust though. Yesterday we had two Premium selections for a win and place. For Spring carnival clients the Friday night Spring Analysis will be on the early Saturday Ratings page after 4 p.m. today. The Spring Package October/November is $149. If you order by 4pm. today you will get this weekends Spring Analysis FREE. Call the office on 02 4950 1747 or click HERE to order online.

Wednesday 23rd September: If the dust in Sydney is anything like it is here I don't know how we'll see the horses let alone find the winner. Fortunately there are no Powerplay races today so Powerplay Subscribers can have the day off except perhaps for the small number of Powerplay Singles. There could be a Premium in Perth and Murray Bridge to keep us interested.

Tuesday 22nd September: Powerplay Subscribers hit the Jackpot yesterday with the Wagga Quaddie $1300+ and Treble $600+ and this with the first winner our Premium Selection which won at $2.20.

An interesting winner was the Tasmanian Mukky Bukky (something like that). which won at $2.50. Last week I backed this horse in Victoria at 50/1 each way. It couldn't win for me then but I did make a big profit, a bigger profit than if I'd backed it for the win yesterday. It's something to think about. Each way betting does have its place.

Winform Ratings Subscribers would also have collected the Taree Quaddie and Treble at $1980 and $335 with the biggest priced winner just $5.40 and all in the first 4 at $256 and $64. It's surprising what dividends you can get sometimes in these types of bets.

Our Only The Best Selections have performed poorly so far this year but there are only just over 100 selections so far so no need to panic. Earlier this year we had a run of 25 straight losers with Grandslam and look how far ahead we are now. It will turn. It always does.

Monday 21st September: IASbet.com is still a safe place to bet and not have your account closed fro winning. I confirmed that today. I did nothing yesterday except the Trebles and Quaddies which were unsuccessful. There was one Winform Single which won easily. Our Daily Feature race found a solid placegetter in the Dubbo Cup but I did not look for the C Plan as I was at a family function. It looks like there is a good Premium selection later today which I can confirm after scratchings and track conditions. In all four race meetings on a Monday is unusual but will keep us fully occupied.

Sunday 20th September: We always thought yesterday was going to be tough and why is it that when you get a lot of selections they nearly always fail? Or is that just our perception? Let's see... eight Premium selections altogether and all eight placed and three won. I took running parlays and got badly burnt.

I bet race to race for fun yesterday and made a good profit on the C Plan very early on.

Powerplay subscribers scored the Gold Coast Treble at $197.50. Grandslam subscribers had another big winning week, we must be over 80 units in front for the year now. Winform Singles kicked off with two good winners but then five losers.

Fred wasn't happy about Only The Best but neither was I but hey. It was only two bets and we wouldnt be complaining if they won and both will at some stage.

Subject: What the ???

You've got to be kidding ?  Major races in Sydney and Melbourne and Only the Best comes up with 2 Perth Bets

Race 7 No 7 Highly Prized  $16.00 Form x 59 Toprated
Race 8 No 1 Princess O'Lara $25.00 Form 9 x 7 Toprated

Whats going on ??? You're right. I probably should have come up with some really top selections like O'Lonhro or Whobegotyou. The result would have been exactly the same.

As it happened races 7 and 8 in Perth were ripe for a longshot result, we just got the wrong ones as in each case the second rated Winform horses won at $24.50 and $7.80.

Have you considered the Grandslam service Fred? Currently over 75 units in front for the year to date. Yesterday two winners Lucky Secret and Lady Marielle. for another 5 units profit even though it also selected O'lonhro...G

Saturday 19th September: Scored the Dubbo Treble yesterday but only $54. Three Premium bets for a winner at $3 and a second. The other runnner missed the first four placings in a six horse race won by the $60 outsider. Still in front for the week though.

What a tough day today. I don't have all the scratchings yet but already I see about 8 Premium bets of which probably six will qualify. There is one runner in a WFA race. Is that a Set Weights event? Probably. That's my interpretation anyway.

Ray called last night to thank me for the day Friday, and yes it was worth his while. Anyone is welcome to drop in (by appointment). The cost is $295 for about four hours but you get that back off the cost of product you purchase e.g ratings subscription or software.

It appears unlikely that the way Top Fluctuation betting in Sydney is calculated will change. At present there are about wight or so different departments/ authorities etc. to be consulted and that's wihout any input from anyone ineterstate or the punting public.

Friday 18th September: I have an appointment with Ray this morning. Hopefully I can enlighten him but I am sure I will make his trip worthwhile. The "guru" cashed up on Moti yesterday as I did. I thought I was unlucky when Streetfighter just held on to nose out Lodge The Deeds in the Newcastle Cup yesterday. I had taken Moti all up into LTD. I snared a good profit though when our top rated horse Butido easily won the last. "Guru" did even better when it netted him the $3609 Quaddie which was in the Winform Top Three. Beacuse Newcastle is not a Powerplay venue I did not take it.

More on that $42 winning horse yesterday. It turned out to be a Trevor Johns Chapter six horse.

A reminder that the Spring Package is on line for Ratings subscribers now but only until 9 a.m. tomorrow. It is at the head of the Saturday Ratings page and will be updated by 10.a.m. with the "guru"s comments on what looks like a tough weekend.

Thursday 17th September: Late afternoon update: Garry has spent the later part of the afternoon at the Newcastle Spring Carnival Races. Today was the Newcastle Cup. Whilst Garry was busy catching up with everyone at the track, he happend to be going past Alan Hick's Bookie Stand, where a punter was accidentially given the wrong horse number (9) on his ticket. The customer asked for his ticket to be corrected and unluckily for him, the No. (9) horse won at $42.00.

Kalgoorlie finally came godd for Powerplay users with the $1086 Treble and $&9 and $269 Running Doubles and the Daily Double in all three TABs. The "guru" had this to say " I love Cameron Day. Won $1900 but was very close to a big pay day. I was alive in the Newcastle Quaddie but had only one horse running for me "Monte Dreamer" at $26 after "The Member" was a late scratching (actually Greg did not realise he was also on the substitute, the short priced fav which ran nowhere). 50 Metres out Monte Dreamer hit the lead and I made a fatal mistake of punching the air too early. Racing will always bring you back to earth very quickly if you count your money before the finish line."

Today I like Moti and Indikator at Newcastle and will be backing them at the early odds wiht IASbet.com

I was happy to pick up the Treble and I scored two doubles when I linked the Spring Stakes winner Lovemlikeearock with both Absolutely Fabulous and McLintock each way. In Hindsight I would have been better off backing both runners straight our in the second leg. I missed a Treble by a nose when our second Premium bet just missed. The first one was a winner and set a new course record.

I'll be at Newcastle later today for the Cup. It's the biggest day of the year.

Wednesday 16th September: If I thought yesterday would be the day to break the drought for the Quaddie and Treble I was wrong. I'll have another go today and if I fail I will have to make a deposit to my account for the first time for many months. Since January I have only made withdrawals.

Jeff spent a few hours with me yesterday and I took him through the Parlay Magic program and we bet five races using a combination of Winform Ratings, Premium and the C Plan. We scored four winners from five races and made about 20% profit before it was time for Jeff's train. There is a lot to learn and in the end it comes down to what time you have available to bet and what method suits best.

There was one Premium bet for one win. On that subject, some Premium Subscribers are still a little confused. The Winform Gold Selections are bet without reference to the Bendeich Rules. Also, horses that are Best Bets as well as say SE or WW will still be bet as long as they pass either the Best Bet rules or any of the other rules. For Best Bets only, I apply just the Best Bet rules but subscribers are free to check through the remaining rules if they wish. It's important to remember that even those selections that don't pass the rules still win 36% of the time.

Tuesday 15th September: I have a one on one with a client today. I will be showing him the C Plan and other strategies to use with the Ratings. The session is two hours of past action followed by two hours of live races. You can look at these on your own for weeks and not quite get it. A few short hours with an experienced user goes directlly to the point.

IASbet.com Shareholders voted in favour of the Sportsbet takeover yesterday, however Mark Read will remain in control until October 2010. Sean Bartholomew's Racing Odds business has been taken over by Sportsbet. We understand that the smaller players cannot survive in the current environment which is why IASbet.com and Sporstbet, two of the biggest players, needed to merge.

The end result can be bad for professional players as most quickly cut anyone who even looks like making a profit. I spoke yesterday to the principle of Betezy who advised that they welcome Professional players. It was interesting to be told: "we have never made a profit on Perth races but even though we lose week after week we keep the product to satisfy our customers." On Sydney best fluctuation business he commented " we offer a service but it's a joke with the market betting to less than 100% at times. We don't encourage it."

He also commented that the other place that was a consistent loser for them was Toowoomba. A couple of weeks ago it was reported that Betezy laid off a bet of $50,000 on a greyhound race instead of $50 and we repeated the story, however it turns out that Betezy was not involved at all. The newspaper printed a retraction but "mud" sticks. The greyhound business has dropped off but mainly for smaller players who are now missing out on best tote product.

Monday 14th September: Sussanah is still off sick and Prue is on a well deserved day off. I am home alone..boo hoo. So no Winform E-News today and I can't answer all three phone lines at once so apologies in advance.

There is a fly in the ointment at today's Iasbet shareholder meeting which will determine whether or not the Iasbet takeover by Sportsbet goes ahead. A new player has reached 5.18% of IASbet.com shares. Today 75% of the votes cast must approve the takeover and Sportsbet cannot vote. That increases that power of that 5% shareholding. I regret that I am not able to be there but the result of the meeting will be public immediately after.

The C Plan looked to have had another winning day yesterday. The two Premium Selections were both placed. We failed to score any Trebles or Quaddies. Reality tells us that even with our winning strike rate, long losing runs will be experienced in between winning results. Our record for the biggest Quaddie in the past 12 months or so is over $20,000 and there was one $27,000 Treble about 18 months ago. I could use one now.

Sunday 13th September: Our new punting "guru" returns to Adelaide today after a two week fact finding mission with $3746 and loose change in his pocket following his final outing at Rosehill yesterday. We expect to see him mid October on a twelve month contract which will bring an experienced look at our selections from a diffferent angle.

Yesterday the C Plan was on fire scoring five wins in a row to start the day and including a $17.70 winner. Two losers followed but the winners kept coming after that.

Only The Best had a record breaking winner in Philda which was also our nomination for the Daily Feature Race. It paid $7.40. Grandslam had another winning day with three winners and only one selection missing the place. Therer were four Premium bets yesterday for two winners at $2.80 and $7.10. A sweet profit in anyone's language.

Powerplay users scored the Gold Coast Treble but missed the Quaddie. I made $4600 for myself and the staff Punters Club made over $500 on small bets. Our Weekend Sports Bets came out in front with the Colliwobbles losing their perennial loser status by winning on the bell. My Knights were wiped out by a stupid decision by their rookie coach to start two unfit players when he had another half dozen quality players who were fully fit to choose from. Isaac De Gois came off after just 30 seconds on his dicky knee.

The Spring Package found winners but we are yet to see anything outside the favoured few at any sort of decent price.

Saturday 12th September: Catching up on what happened Friday. Powerplay Subscribers scored the Mackay Quaddie and Treble at $600+ and $136. Not a big profit on the day but nice to collect anyway.

Two Premium bets but because of the track conditions neither bet qualified but both won damn it! Well 38% of the unqualified ones do anyway.

The C Plan was brillaint with seven wins out nof nine races. I quit at four out of six because I did have other work to do.

I notice everyone has an opinion about Whobegotyou and El Segundo and the forgotten horse is Mic Mac which I believe represents value in the race. Can't wait to watch and I am informed that the track is now likely to be good.

Friday 11th September: We had three Premium bets yesterday which I backed to win over $10,000 and I was very confident of success. Two of them met the special rules and I was happy with the third choice on form regardless of the rules. I couldn’t have imagined why Hawkesbury was abandoned as the weather was as good as it can be. And there it was …jockey strike.

Well I agree with them. Something has to be done but there is no guarantee there will be. I don’t advocate cruelty but I do know that thoroughbreds are flighty and need control and urging to get the best out of them. Now they have padded whips why the need to count strokes? Anyhow it will all work out.

Here’s what our “guru” had to stay about his bets for tomorrow. I don’t agree personally even though our Ratings give the horse an excellent chance:

I will have a decent bet on the $500,000 MOONEE VALLEY Race 7 Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes 1600m

'El Segundo’s' two runs back have been very good. He gets to a suitable trip and back to favourite track.
I am hoping he starts a good value bet. He can return to the winner's circle, but its hard to fault 'Mic Macs' recent form.

As for the remaining group races I think I will take some parlays and try to get a decent return for my investment dollar as the fields are a bit small and a tad disappointing for Group Twos, thus the tight odds on offer.

Some interesting Listed Races in Adelaide might present some good betting options when I analyse it more closely Friday Morning. Good Luck, The Guru

The Spring Package is being emailed later today and for Ratings subscribers is online now. Remember though when we update tomorrow the comments will not be there. Anyone who wants the package can still purchase up to 4 p.m. today EST.

Thursday 10th September: Ros and I had dinner with our new "guru" and his wife Karen last night and our conversation turned to travel. It appears tha many years ago a naive "guru" was on his way to Europe and it was his first big flight. He had a phobia about flying. Anyhow he was sick all the ay to Dubai and was too ill to get off the plane even when prompted by machine gun equipped soldiers (I remember that was a feature of my first stopover at Dubai also).

Karen tried very hard to overcome the language barrier and located a Doctor who supplied a suppository to alleviate the gurus aches. She gave him the suppository in a plastic cup and helped him to the loo. Unfortunately, in his delirious state he didn't realise what it was and swallowed it before complaining about the soapy taste of the water in the cup. I'm told he has never been as sick, before or since.

Yesterday I was in Sydney but he gave me a tip at Sandown. He secured $19 fixed at IASbet.com prepost and was lined up for a big collect as the horse was backed into $6 and led by three lengths with 100 to go. He arrived third. Good tip though. No Premium bets yesterday. Tuesday I ended up betting the first C Plan race at Warwick Farm. It was a good winnning race and I doubled my money. Powerplay Subscribers would have been delighted yesterday with the Quaddie $2100+ and Treble $691.

Today I am heading down to Raffertys Resort where I am arranging to have a live in Professional Punting Seminar. I hadn't intended to do any more of these but with the "guru" to assist, and with a lot of Members asking when will I have another one have decide to commit to possibly February or May next year or even both. These go for three and a half days and four nights, arriving Monday and departing Friday. Several hundred Members have attended one of these seminars and the "guru" himself attended back in about 1996. It wouldn't hurt for anyone interested to let us know by emailing me at garry.r@hunterlink.net.au

I am setting up my new home office today and looking forward to analysing the Weekends Group Races. My latest addition is a very attractive desk clock with a real clock face which reminds me of when we didn't rely on computers for the time. Thanks Karen..

Wednesday 9th September: Our Daily Feature proved success again yesterday with our second rated selection Hush Up winning at $9.30. One Premium selection for one win yesterday at Kyneton. No Premium Selections today. As mentioned yesterday our newly refined Bookshop is now online. Remember there are still spaces left if you wish to be included in the Spring Carnival Analysis sent to your email every Friday for Saturday's Spring Carnival Racing.

Tuesday 8th September: Late entry this afternoon. GOOD NEWS! The Winform Online Bookshop is now back online, with a better online secure ordering system. So for the latest promotions for Spring 2009, please visit our new Online Bookshop site: www.winform.shopfactory.com my apologies for any inconveniences. Regards, Prue & The Winform Team

Incredibly one of our Members has two tickets to the Australian Masters at Kingston on November 12th and 13th. Cost is $184.50 express posted to anyone who wants them. Tiger Woods is going to be there apparently although I believe he has never even ridden one winner so I dont know why everyone wants to see him. Anyhow, if you are interested call Greg on 0438 540 081.

Today is a no bet day for me today. I'm not impressed by either meeting. Yesterday the one Premium did the job easily.

The Good news is that our punting "guru" has agreed to terms and will commence mid October but prior to that will be contributing to the Spring Carnival package. Once on board he will be appying his professional analysis to all our selection strategies to improve even further the profit for services such as Grandslam.

In addition he will be contributing to a brand new book with me which we hope to release December or late January. He will also have an article in the Summer edition of the magazine.

Monday 7th September: Rod Cleary from Vicbet advised he is betting on Warwick Farm and Kyneton on Tuesday to extend his service. At this stage a bookmaker has to be on course to take bets. I guess it will all catch up eventually but governments aren't that swift in improving things unless they find a way to add to State revenue. The Guru missed his diary entry yesterday but I am sure he would have wanted to tell you his Special Cats Whisker saluted and that he took the early IASbet price of $5.50 Friday. Grandslam was again successful but there were no Premium bets.

Yesterday was a good day for Knights fans and St Kilda fans. Not so good for those of us punting. Powerplay had 8 winners from 17 events but most of these were at Cranbourne. Kalgoorlie has gone right off for some reason not known to us. We haven't had a single Quaddie or Treble this season there.

I had a brilliant winning day Saturday to follow a good day Friday but yesterday slumped with Premium losers. It will turn. It always does but that run of 13 winners in a row seems far off now. The Spring Package winners we found were short priced, you can't control that but we are in the hunt. You can still purchase the Spring packages.

We are still let down by our bookshop software so all orders have to be phoned through (02) 4950 1747.

Saturday 5th September: I'm the new punting guru but my typing isnt the best so please excuse any errors. My Daily Feature race selection let us down yesterday landing in 5th but my other outstanding bet which was Garry's top Rated horse won at $2.70 leaving me with a profit for the day.

There was one Premium yesterday which quilified and won easily. Garry & I agree that Cats Wishker is one of the better bets of the day and has already been backed in on IASbet from $4.80 to $4.20 which represents a 30% premium on our rated price.

Both of the Weekend Sports Bets won last night and I was happy to see that the Crows won ( one of my teams ).

Friday 4th September: (Late Update) Good Afternoon Winform Customers, my sincere apologies for the delay in getting the 2009 Spring Professional Punters Diary up. We have had some minor issues with our server, but hopefully (fingers crossed) it's all out of the way now. Best wishes on this weekends punt...Prue

We will have the Spring Diary up and running soon I promise, but Prue is busy uploading the new Magazine and it all takes time. Yesterday we had a Best Bet winner. Unfortunately it didn't pass all of our Premium Rules so reluctantly we let it pass. It paid just $2. There are plenty to come. Today is the Wyong Cup and Mona Lisa stakes day. There has been abour 10-15 mm of rain but it is a good track and won't be too badly affected. One of those races will be our Daily Feature. Interestingly our new "guru" is here and he is quietly confident about today's Cup and I have tasked him to come up with the goods.

I have finalised my Spring Package Selections and will be emailing these by lunchtime. You can still get your order in but only by phone.

Thursday 3rd September:
I was tied up all day with three tradies at home and Telstra, well they found the line but when you call you get "this number is disconnected" Great.

Problems everywhere but I have done the Spring Package for Saturday and there are some likely looking wins and some "no bet" races with no value. We are accepting orders up to noon tomorrow for this weekend. The Package is on the Saturday Ratings early edition tomorrow and is removed once we have scratchings on Staurday when our regular singles appear so visit the website Friday if you want them.

Our new professional "guru" has tipped me three winners and a $5 second yesterday and today so he will be a valuable addition to the team if we reach an agreement.

Wednesday 2nd September: Well, the girls were too busy to upload the Spring folder yesterday as the online HRA was going in. It'll happen today. Results weren't as good as I hoped but in frustration I dutch bet the Powerplay selections in the last at Warrnambool for a great return. Ipswich didn't work out well due to a track upgrade which altered the selections we should have been on. It could not have been anticipated.

I scraped my nose in front and hope for a result today. The Quaddie at Cessnock was not won so I expect Unitab will forward that to a Saturday meet. The jackpots are worth following. There was a little confusion with the two Premium bets yesterday. In the end there was one winner, but did it qualify as a bet? We are sending a few queries out to Premium subscribers by email which will hopefully iron out the odd query.

Tuesday 1st September: The girls will put in a link to my Spring Diary later today. Yesterday we had three lesg of the Grafton Quaddie but missed in a close go on a $2,000 payout. Today Powerplay will try for all three Quaddies.

Our Feature Race was successful again and I apologise for giving out the wrong phone pin in yesterdays email. It is 2612 on the Daily Feature Race 1902 210 868. The C Plan had a good winning day. I had two wins from three for our staff punters club and made a couple of hundred and quit.

Monday 31st August: The Spring analysis proved successful on it's first week with two wins and a second in the three selected races. Sunday there were two Premiums for just one photo second. Powerplay has had a drought with three legs of the Kalgoorlie Quaddie and missing the last leg. It will all fire when least expected. I noticed we had five legs of the Big 6 Saturday too (the NSW one) which didn't go off. We ran second in the last leg. GTX subscribers who combined the Trakform rated horses with ours (Trakform comes free with GTX) would have had the top rated Friday Creek which knocked us off at $91!

There was one good result yesterday. We scored in the Daily Feature Race where I gave Philda one more chance and it won.

The saga with my son continues. He has improved markedly and we met with his doctor last night who advises that he will be ready to give life another go in two to three weeks. Thanks to those who have shared similar experiences.

Sunday 30th August: I'm getting in early because I have to head to Sydney as soon as I post the Ratings tomorrow (Sunday). Today Grandslam had a great day. OTB had a win and a place from three but a loss. Premium had two bets and the one that didn't qualify won but the "good" one lost.

Sadly, had we known for sure that Caulfield was going to be downgraded we would have had Jungle Ruler as a Grandslam. I concentrated on the C Plan Saturday and had five wins from nine events for just one unit profit. That was Mic Mac's race. I threw an extra $1,000 on Mic Mac, I thought he was that good.

Saturday 29th August: James Thomson is a long term Member and he is currently sailing the Pacific. I am jealous. Here's where you can follow his travels: www.sailingthepacific.wordpress.com

A really good betting day today with only one qualfying Premium. Yesterday's started at $1.50 and did not meet the rules and lost. It was a C Plan race and our other selection in the race won.

We have some good looking Grandslam bets today and I am hoping Only the Best has a good day. There are some very good selections that should do well.

Last night we had two people from New Guinea stay over, a member of their parliament and a kick boxer. Both were here for the kick boxing championship which "Alfie" lost. I stayed up with them as they waited for a 3 a.m. airport pickup and we feasted on their favourites, sweet corn and sweet potato. They tell me these are favourite foods back home and the sweet corn is sold in fast food outlets. They are also great fans of Rugby League and we watched both of last nights games and both selected the losing sides. North Queensland was robbed but still had enough chances to put two teams away. They are out.

Friday 28th August: Three Premium bets yesterday for a win and a place. The rider on our Gold horse was not good, unless it won, then the rider is a genius. My son is making progress at last so I can concentrate on business once agin I hope. The plumbers had to replace the plumbing inbetween the ground floor and first floor yesterday because the tiler let his cement fill them up. We have some nice holes in the ceiling which is about the same thing that is happening to my betting bank at present.

Powerplay has been virtually inactive the past couple of weeks as we are selective with our meetings and by coincidence there have been few that qualified. That will change and we will be busy again.

I hope to follow some of the action today as we send out the last of the latest Newsletter. Tonight I have two guests from New Guinea who are on a reciprocal visit but I won't be going there. Have a good day today. Tomorrow looks like a good betting day.

Thursday 27th August: There weren't enough runners at ballarat yesterday to make a Quaddie worthwhile. My only action was the one Premium bet and it lost. Using that particular rule, there had been no previous losers in the past two years, not in memory anyway. I guess you had to see it coming sometime.

I wasn't able to check on the C Plan as we were all busy getting Magazines in envelopes. Yes we still do that ourselves. The last of them go out today and those that want it from the Newsagents can pick it up on Monday 31st August. The online version takes work and will be available next week. We have advertised for another assistant as we still have trouble keeping up. The basic work of posting the Ratings is fine and we still get our orders out the day we receive them but we are keen to offer more to our clients and that needs an extra pair of hands.

I noticed we have started the ball rolling on the whip rules and already there is a meeting to take place between jockeys and the Australian Racing Board. The jockeys feel, and rightly so, that they should not be concentrating on how many times they use the whip in a tight finish. It's funny. They have had six months to sort this all out and what is happening now is very predictable.

I am working on my comments for this Saturdays major races and they will be emailed to all Spring Packages Subscribers as a bonus for this weekend.

Wednesday 26th August: Another day with little action. Our truck driver forgot to bring our magazines up from Sydney. Luckily they have arrived this morning and are now being packed for despatch later today.

I experimented with a new Singles Plan and actually won quite a bit in late April into May before a savage reverse swept all my winnings away and more. I stopped for a while. I have only just had the time to check on how the plan is going and apart from that bad burst in late May it made profits in June and July. I intend going over my bets again, not to test them, they have only had one losing month this year, but to test my staking. Would that have improved things? I am guessing it would.

Another two quality riders scorched for breaking the whip riding rules. It's difficult. In Australia where riders have been consistently punished for not riding out their mounts it must be hard breaking habits of a lifetime and who in a tight finish, is counting? Imagine yourself riding your bet home in the last few hundred metres. Was that five or six or fifty six shouts of "Go Go Go and Come On Come On Come On".

Tuesday 25th August: What a windy day! My BBQ just swept across to the other side of the deck. Last week two furniture guys had trouble moving it at all. Prue had to select a Best Bet yesterday and it won at $13.50, she also picked the Daily Feature Race and scored the $3.20 winner Quinella and the $180+ Trifecta. Happy days. I might let her pick again today only this time she might remember to put on our Staff Punters Club bets. We were busy yesterday and it can slip your mind.

No Powerplay yesterday but the Powerplay Singles had a great day with the best winner at $18. It's about time as the longshots seem to have dried up. Peter number one called me yesterday to advise me of this just before the winner got up. I hope he was on it. Peter number two sent an email advising that Centrebet had banned him from certain bet types but they refused to discuss the reasons with him other than to say that the bet type Best Of The Best, was only available to 'recreational punters'. Peter is not a professional he tells me and the only time he has done well with Centrebet was in the tennis. We are loading up the correspondance between Peter and Centrebet in our feedback on the main page. Have a look and comment yourself, click here.

Monday 24th August: Susannah is off for two days so we are under the pump again. One qualified Premium yesterday for one loser. It didn't even run a place which is very disappointing. I have moved house but have no internet access there until Telstra decide to press the button. Our Daily Feature Race was a second and third and we had the recommended Quinella all the way down the straight until no 17 from Barrier 17 ran over the top. Dont' they usually run 17th?

Anyhow a busy day today. Our Only The Best promotion is closing at the end of the week so it's the last chance to take advantage of the offer. Our email Newsletter will have details again, to order simply phone the office on: (02) 4950 1747.
